Key Takeaways
- ›CJC-1295 (no DAC) is a short-acting GHRH analog, distinct from the long-acting DAC version.
- ›Dedicated human trial data on this specific form is sparse; most claims extrapolate from related compounds.
- ›It is not approved and is accessed mainly through compounding, with quality variability.
- ›Long-term safety in healthy adults is not established.
- ›Speak with a licensed healthcare professional before making any health-related decisions.
What It Is
The 'no-DAC' version of CJC-1295 — sometimes called Modified GRF (1-29) or ModGRF (1-29) — is the 1-29 amino-acid GHRH fragment with a small set of amino-acid substitutions designed to resist enzymatic degradation, particularly cleavage by dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4). It is structurally similar to but not identical to sermorelin, which is the unmodified GHRH (1-29) sequence.
Unlike its counterpart compound CJC-1295 with DAC, the no-DAC version does not include the maleimidopropionyl Drug Affinity Complex moiety that covalently binds plasma albumin. As a result, its plasma half-life is much shorter — measured in minutes rather than days — and its pharmacokinetic profile is fundamentally different from the DAC version, even though both are commonly grouped under the 'CJC-1295' label.
